This was a cover-to-cover redesign of Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women. I approached it with a collage/scrapbook style, utilizing a lighter color palette while incorporating more modern elements that are darker than the rest. I included hand lettered elements on the front and back cover, as well as the spine. The cover, end papers, and chapter breaks all feature custom illustrations I created for this project. I wanted it to feel like a collaborative effort amongst the March sisters—little scribbles and stains from Jo, illustrations from Amy, pressed flowers from Beth, and newspaper clippings from Meg. The final book size was 5.25” by 8.25”.
